| I know the Celtics need a little time to mesh, but i am hopeful the season will give them that time and they plow through the playoffs. OMG a Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics as champions would be a dream.....Go Bruins |

| That was my dream last year for Detroit. The Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons. It didn't really work out the way I wanted it too, lol.

| I can't wait for the Indy/Pats game today. It's funny, I was born in MA., and have been a lifelong Sox/Celtics fan, but never got into the Pats. I have always been a Redskins fan since the days of Sonny J. So I am predicting, in my fucked up state of mind, a Celtics/Spurs final this year. I can not wait to look back on this post next June and see how well i did. I will get up my playoff 8 picks in the next week. I still need to look over things a bit before i commit |

Boston had another great showing today, as far as the numbers go. Hopefully the Pistons can make it 3-0 tonight against Atlanta, currently tied at 33. | |

| Pistons make it 3-0 in an exciting game against Atlanta . I have to say this Pistons team impresses me more and more every year. It is too bad that we no longer have Chris Webber, but the team as a whole is much better than last year. When I first heard about Detroit trading Delfino in the summer, I was a bit upset because he was, in my mind, a good player that didn't get enough credit, or enough time on the court to prove himself. Even so, he wasn't a very good backup for Tayshaun, and with the addition of Jarvis Hayes this year, it really takes off some pressure on Prince at that small forward position. Not only that, but Maxiell is amazing this year! He's a small guy that has always impressed me, and I knew it would only take time for him to establish himself as a great player. Maybe I'm speaking too soon by saying "great", but in time that's exactly what I think he'll be. His third season, and he seems to have a really nice feel on the game, not to mention his explosive energy and dunks are really exciting. Tonight he had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks coming off the bench! He's a bit small for his position, but so was Ben and you don't hear any complaints about him . Now for the rookies. Aaron Afflalo is...mediocre. He is alright at playing all-around basketball, but he's really quick, and a pretty good defender. I saw him race down the court the other day faster than lightning, great acceleration. Even so, he still has a lot to learn. And Rodney Stuckey! Man, I can't wait to see him play in the regular season. He was an EXCELLENT pick-up as the 15th overall draft pick, and he amazed almost everyone watching him in the preseason. Unfortunately he broke his wrist the last game of the preseason, but his future really looks bright as a Piston. Flip Murray is even playing a lot harder this year, perhaps knowing that his spot is pretty much up for grabs if he doesn't play good, by Stuckey or even Afflalo. So the Pistons start 3-0. The first two games we were without Rip Hamilton, and all three we have been without, what is predicted to be our best bench player, Rodney Stuckey. I'd say I like our team, and I'd say we are only going to get better as the season progresses . People say the Pistons are getting old? Take another look. Our vets aren't old, and we have quite a few young guys that can hold their own. Deeeetroooit Basketbaaallll |
