Default how do you (if you need to) register an XBOX360

i havent registered it do i need to so that if something breaks i can send it back?

Yeah.. with most products you need to register them in order to have it covered under warranty. Just go to xbox.com, it shouldn't be that hard.

My brother actually has an Xbox 360, and he had to send his back to get fixed. They ended up sending him a new one, at no cost to him. Just make sure you don't alter your Xbox in anyway, as this will void the warranty.

im gonna call tomorrow if anything, hopefully they dont ask for me to send a receipt or something.. thats why im asking for help. i went to xbox.com and cant find anywhere to help register for warranty, only to register fo rtheir site, which i did already. someone whos done this would be good help..

Well, according to what I Googled, you can register here: https://service.xbox.com/default.aspx

And apparently it should allow you to register your Xbox as well.

Hm. Well I never registered my 360. When I got the red circle of death, for the first time, I just called the up, gave 'em my serial # and they sent me a new model.

When I got the red light of death the second time, I did the same thing, and they repaired my current model.

I don't think it really matters if it used or not, how could they tell if you are the original purchaser or not? I am unsure though, but the support at M$ XBOX is actually phenomenal, they do a great job fixing their junky system. :P

yep thats why i went and got the 360 instead of ps3..awesome repair policy..remind sme of nike, you can send them old shoes and get new ones , i wonder if they still do that..i did that a couple times in middle skool..and i forgot about it..i got a bunch of old nikes lol

awesome repair policy...but only because the ring of death is THEIR fault.

anyways I was like spiral, got the ring twice, but I got a new one back both times, not a repaired one. And they only ask the serial number, I don't ever remember registering my 360. Hell the 2nd time it happened I didn't even need to call. I just sent them a message saying I had the ring of death, and they immediately asked for my address and serial #, and said they'd sent me the box in a couple of days. piece of cake.
