I heard Wii is so hard to get and you may have to pay like $700 to get one by Xmas. Is that true?

I am a PC Gamer, but I want something for a group of people who are quite high.

I don't like Guitar Hero though.

Which console should I get?

I would say the 360 is best for multi player

Depends where you get it. My sister bought one last week for only $300. A lot of places are going to be sold out, since it's this close to the holidays. If you look around you shouldn't have to pay $700.

The wii is really fun.. I'd get that.

It really has to do with the games on the system, not the actual system. Most people I know who care a bit about video games would definitely recommend the 360. Me? I'm happy with my Gamecube....

Playstation's have the biggest selection of games, if I remember....

Well, in terms of next-gen consoles, Playstation is in the back of the pack as far as largest game selections go.

We bought an XBOX, upgrade for us, and a couple games so that will be fun to start playing on.

Plus, I got to try out the Wii. I was really skeptical with all the hype about how fantastic it was going to be. After playing it I give it little more credit than what I expected but at the same time only 4 out of 5 leaves for me.

It has a nice quality of being a console that a group of people can get together and enjoy.

Funniest part; after playing it for almost 4 hours straight, the boxing and tennis ones in particular, I woke up today with my right shoulder and arm SORE. The Wii gave me a workout

Yeah, but the sony gaming library by far surpasses anyone else. So many good games are out for Ps2 I would hardly call the console 'dead'.

Anyways, I have played all 3 next gens.

We have 2 Xbox 360's in the house, as well as a PS3 on the downstairs big screen. I prefer my 360 just because of the games (TF2, Halo 3, COD4, etc.), that and most of my friends have one, as well as an additional console setup in the house - it provides some excellent multiplayer gaming but their isn't really much to it besides that, a few good single player games...

The PS3 is pretty good. We only have a few games for it, the online play is pretty shoddy, but the single player games are beautiful and really fun.

And the Wii, well I play at a friends house occasionally, usually we play a sport game we all can enjoy. Very intuitive controllers which allows non-gamers to play, but it also has a lot of really good in-depth games for the more advanced players (Zelda, Mario, etc.). Plus with the new Super Smash Brothers coming out, the Wii has high potential, in fact it is currently winning the console war.

If you can get your hands on a Wii I'd go with that, otherwise I'd go with the 360. To be honest though, you can't go wrong with any of the consoles, they all have their ups and downs.
