I love the DS too. The Zelda game on it is awesome and Brain Age is real addictive.

You don't need wireless to play against someone in the same room as you. You can play multi-player with someone without the wireless within a certain range. The wireless is to play people all around the world. And if you have wireless at your house you can go wireless on the DS with certain games. Like MarioKart
