| Haha! I love this game. I got addicted to it and then quit. Picked it back up and could better handle my time. So I made like over 150g on a lvl 18 in 3 weeks. I rolled in dough. Its awesome! |

| Yeah I just quit this game for good. I wouldn't even call it a game. It's a life style. There is absolutely nothing in it for the casual gamer. Levelling takes too long and gets repetitive and there is nothing you can casually do at 70. Arena is insanely time consuming if you want to get your rating up for the gear, it takes months to get the gear you need. Raiding takes hours and hours and nights on end not to mention the gold farming you have to do in the day. I quit a few times before but this time I'm done for good. I have a roommate that used to be so cool but now he just disguists me. He plays all day every day and will not do anything social with any of us. He won't even get off wow and watch sporting stuff with us like when the pats or the celtics play. He sits with his box score up and won't leave the stupid game. Now I know people will say you can play it in moderation which is true, but to really be good, as in pvp with people you need to put an immense amount of time in. There aren't even any casual instances. Even the heroics people are gear snobs about it. And to raid you have to put at least 1 night a week in if not more where you just sit and play it. I'm sorry, I don't care what night it is. There are more important things like a video game, either homework or chilling with friends. Any game that is structured and you have to "sign" up to play is not a game for me. Rant off.

| I have two accounts on WoW and several characters on each account. Altogether I have 2 70's, 2 in the 60's, and several others in the 40's. I have every crafting profession covered. I mainly play Alliance but I've got a few horde I fool around with now and then. I'm going to start a Death Knight for each talent tree, with 5, maybe 6 Death Knights total by the time the next expansion comes out. But I don't play it a lot. I haven't played for 2 weeks now I think. Real life takes priority. Plus I can't sit for too long at the computer without weed and right now I'm out. If anyone in the Albuquerque area wants to try the game they are welcome to come over and play on one of my systems. I'll log you into my account or you can use the 30 day free pass. Nice thing about WoW is that you can get your first 10 levels on the first day if you wanted to. |

My daughter plays this game and it's a PITA. There's been more drama and arguing about WoW than all of life past and present. This might give ya WoW lovers and haters a chuckle:

| I played retail WoW off and on for about 2 years, amongst other games. I think its one of the besyt games to ever come out and there is a reason why it has so many paying customers and is still going strong years later. However, it just takes SO long to get the truly nice items or even get to the epic battles. Its designed to be endless to keep you coming back for more and it does that well. I just had to draw the line with the time wasted and quit the games many moths ago. I have since restarted playing but on private servers and Im having fun again. Free to play, fast leveling, easy gear and active GMs among other things. Hell i made 70 in a DAY and had full T6 the next day. When everyone has stellar gear you have an even playing field for PVP and the skills matter alot more. Its been fun so far

| Yeah I enjoy that onion video. In fact, anything the onion has been a part of has been comedic gold. And spot on, the thing that makes warcraft warcrack, is that it just doesn't end. Unless you are in a top notch guild from the minute it comes out you can keep progressing gear wise right up until the next expansion comes out. There is always more to do. That's why I found it so hard to stop playing as I wanted to keep progressing, keep improving. I just noticed that I had to blow off things with friends to obtain that. I told myself at the end that basically you're spending hours and hours to obtain new pixels that generate higher numbers. You play 5 hours a night for pixels that generate higher numbers in the server. When I phrased it like I decided I wanted to improve real life things more. |

| Funny, WoW has done basically the opposite, where i spend alot of time playing but so do alot of my good friends and usually well all go out, chill with friends, go our separate ways with our gf's in the empty theater.... and come together and toke and play wow lol but thats just me but im a casual enough gamer were pvp is enough although time consuming its nowhere close to the time needed for raiding (try to arena with 5 high guys harder than it sounds) Last edited by wiseguy : 08-19-2008 at 02:21 AM. |

I just couldnt bring myself to pay that fee every month for a game, when I have my Xbox, and Xbox Live... Glad to here your having fun. I might get on the trial now and again (I still have it) so maybe Ill see you around the realms...
