I know that Spiral Architect does... I used to. I quit quite a while back. I played through beta and into the 8 months, I think. Then I quit. I started thinking just how cartoony it was. If you enjoy it though, more power to you.

WoW is a true gem. A phenomenal game

Is it really like crack? I have actually heard and read stories of people being seriously addicted to this game. Like people play it 3 days in a row non stop and die! Thats crazy!

He's right. Try a Google search on "World of Warcraft related deaths". I've never played, but it looks like an interesting way to kill some time. I used to play Atu'los, which is an old-school style MMO that you can play for free.

There is no physical addiction.

The people who develop dependencies upon it do so because they have addictive personalities, much like the people who are "addicted" to marijuana. There is an underlying cause that is not the drug or game itself.

It's not just WOW. It's any MMORPG.
They are so immersive, you get into them. There have been many an afternoon I've played LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) starting around dinnertime and looked up to see that it was almost midnight!
Granted, I play with some friends and we work on stuff together, and that makes it that much better.

In regards to my previous statement.
I'm not into WOW. I am into LOTRO. WOW lacks an overall storyline that LOTRO has. It helps that you're playing alongside the familiar storyline of the LotR trilogy and encounter some of the characters such as Aragorn, Gandalf, Tom Bombadil, Bilbo, and others.

I'm not going to trash WOW (although a lot of LOTRO players do). I played in the beta and it was OK. It wasn't enough to sucker me in. LOTRO, however is that good.
