| Yes! Ocarina of Time was a great game. I just bought a nintendo 64 again a couple of weeks ago and bought that game as well. I finished it in a day or so (which is pretty slow, I know), but man what a great game. Its still good after all these years of playing new games as well. After looking at most of the posts in this thread I'd say its pretty safe to say that Ocarina Of Time was the bees fucking knees of single player gaming. I think its actually made even better by the fact that it didn't have a multiplayer option, so there was none of your stupid friends of siblings going, "Awww you're cheating! You're looking at my screen! Fuck you!" Actually, come to think of it I've found that a lot of old games still trump a lot of new ones. I've also recently added other games to my N64 and SNES collection, so I'm probably kinda biased at the moment but. Resident Evil 2 on PSX was a fucking evil game, gotta love that shit. Donkey Kong anyone? I bought 1, 2, and 3 a few weeks back for my SNES, 3 is kinda lame, but 1 and 2 are badarse. Mario All Stars as well. Old gaming FTW! More recently but I'd say Half Life 2 (including episodes 1 and 2 if you really want), I know they're a few years old now, but still. Oh, how could I forget, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. 1 or 2. Personally I prefer the first one. After 2 the franchise went down quicker than a $50 whore, such a shame, really. Last edited by watto86 : 06-09-2008 at 03:57 PM. |

| In my opinion, there are no games that will ever take the place of my all time favorites: Lunar Silver Star Story and it's sequel, Lunar Eternal Blue. In terms of story, cut scenes and characters; no game comes close. I admit that the turn based battle system and linear action is dated to an absurd degree but if to this day I would still gladly give up a weekend to play either one of those games. |

| Damn man it's hard to say but as far as the BEST single player gaming experience goes it would either have to be COD4 or GTA IV, either one is mindblowing in terms of realism and enjoyability.

| Oh yeah, I forgot. Total War series. I know lots of people hate them, but I love that Turn Based Strategy series. Actually Rome Total War is sort of meh, but once you install a few mods its the shit. Medieval 2 and its mods were pretty good, too. |

| I also love turn based and real time strategy games. I can lose an entire weekend to those too. I still have Civilization IV installed on my laptop for those nights when I really need to kill a country to relieve some stress. |

| GTA: IV is easily one of the best games i've played in a long time, unfortunately my 360 fell over while it was playing and i have to replace the game now, i'd have to say that call of duty 4 is a great game to when played online its semi-single player since its one person to a console but still a multiplayer |

| Just rented Half-Life 2 the other day, first time I ever played it.. Fucking amazing. Don't know why I never played it, I was big into the original Half-Life, but I just never played 2 .. Perhaps my favorite game ever now.. I wanna check out the newer HL games now.

| I'm going to say Uncharted Drake's Fortune and GTA: IV are the best games I played so far on PS3. Those are the only 2 single player games I played on my system so far but they are fun. |

| Legend of the Zelda Ocarina of Time by far the best! I also have enjoyed wind waker and twilight princess from the Zelda franchise as well.
