I have to say I despised all the Zelda games, been ages since I've played anything, upon thinking about it best single player game woulod have to be. Final Fantasy 4, 6, 7 or 9. Or chrono Trigger.

1 vs 1 in CoD4 on shipment is where the most fun is to be had in the game.

O yea Canta, ur missing out on the best rpg ever, FF 8.

ds has some cool single player games for me too, i can't be arsed to invest as much time as i used to

no more heroes is probably the most artistic game and has the most amount of subtext in terms of its depiction of the game industry

i was never a big zelda fan since i never personally owned a nintendo consoles until the wii(played tp, good game) but mario games have always been special to me
i hate GTA games though, i never get around to finishing them and i can't make the free roaming aspect entertaining either
i also wasn't completely sold on the RE or CoD franchise
HL2 is up there for me though
i generally hate mainstream realistic and multiplatform games

thing is, i LOVE me a good co op game.. sadly, not many of those exist these days
streets of rage was awesome back in the day (not really single) but my version of smash for friends was powerstone 2.. these days i'm more of a party gamer
yes i beat AC and Bioshock, those games are not on my list though
my wii gets more love than my 360

during the ps2 era i fell out of single player gaming, it took borrowing my friends gamecube to get me back into it (eternal darkness)
but during that period i played mostly halflife mods like desert crisis, tfc, and the most awesome multiplayer game ever, jedi knight academy

This week I've been playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.....its badass....I love battling with a lightsaber. Sick game. Can't wait til Force Unleased comes out.

Kotor is def one of the best rpgs ever if u like star wars. The second one was good too but doesn't match the story and characters of the first one.

Force Unleashed is going to top all the jedi knight games, hell, all action games period.

This is the first I've heard of Force Unleashed, but I just checked it out and it looks pretty slick. I might just have to check it out when it comes out, given I hear positive reviews.

Force unleashed looks pretty damn cool check out the videos on either youtube or gamespot that show the new technologies being applied which include Ephoria, a new partical simulator that allows things to break in completely random particles, and some other neat lookin stuff it makes the game look even cooler.

My most favorite single player game(s) will be Diablo 2 LOD on da PC and all Need for Speed series on my PS2
