I was just wondering how many of you are getting Guitar Hero 4 (Aerosmith) on June 29th... I think I may go buy out the store with hopes for it to be like the PS3 and Xbox 360 when they came out. Double my money ![]()

Yeah, if this was GH4, I'd be giving up the franchise. Even if I didn't particularly like Aerosmith, I'd hate if they would be making them a feature for a title game. I won't be going out of my way to buy it...I'll try it first. Aerosmith songs tend to give me grief on the game.

I think they made a bad choice for Aerosmith as the whole game they should of done like another one in the time line. You know like rock'n the 80's or what ever it's called. 50's: Elvis, Johnny Cash, thats all I can think of. lol 60's: Hippie Psychedelic Stuff. Pink Floyd, Great Full Dead, Black Sabbath, ect. 70's: Heavy Metal 90's: Grunge as much as I hate it 2000's: Fucking all the heavy metal you can think of ![]() They all would be awesome ![]()

| They seriously made an entire game based on one band? Not a good idea. I'm an Aerosmith fan, but I'm thinking in terms of all the people who aren't. Like, if they made Guitar Hero 5: U2, there's not a chance in hell I'd buy that. The "era" idea would at least be a bit better, though I probably wouldn't buy "Rockin' the 80s" either. ![]() Rockin' the 60s would be more my speed, but you know what I mean!

They do have a few songs from artists other than Aerosmith, but yeah, about 90% of the songs are Aerosmith. I do have all the games from the original to GH3 on PS2, which was the only console to support Rock the 80s. I like the song selections on the 80s more than GH2 as a matter of personal taste...though it's hard to find a good cover voice for Quiet Riot. The big downside is that it's light compared to the others: only the set pieces, no bonus tracks for the same price as all the other titles. For what I've seen from the prospects of the real GH4...I just might have to upgrade to a PS3. They should get some of the more "dedicated" (for lack of a better term) guitar hero-type song artists on there like Steve Vai or Joe Satriani.
