Theres a difference between a plant randomly growing somewhere, cultivated by no one other than mother nature, and a palnt purposely grown and cared for. One would be ignored,the other prosecuted. Same plant, two vastly different scenarios. One is a problem often dealt with by...ironically...county weed control boards (I'm a country boy...my brother in law sitrs on the local county weed board), the other an issue that would warrant police involvement. I'm not saying its right, but one situation would be dealt with as a nuiscence weed, the other (a potted plant) would be considered marijuana cultivation.

Are prosecutions common? Not by a long shot....but then again, most people aren't dumb enough to risk prison time for growing a hemp plant purposely. When the same penalties would apply whether the palnt was smokable or hemp, few people would take the risk of growing if they weren't going to be getting high

they wouldnt laugh about charging someone with a felony of cultivation even if it is one plant. how often do u see them shrug off felony charges? it happens all the time with misdemeanors but like i said it is a felony. and if someone was arested for it, they wouldnt laugh about it and let ihm go they would prosecute him. if a cop decides to do nothing thats another story, thats entirely up to the cop.
