Hey duudes..

I have just a few questions, that are bugging me..

First of all.. I've seen videos of people using hookah's, for a couple of brief seconds, and getting ridiculously large hits... I've also seen comments here and there of people saying "oh my god, that hit is huge, it's like he's using a hookah"

Now, I'm just wondering.. Do you get way bigger hits from hookah's? How could that possibly work?.. Now keep in mind im not asking the ins and outs of how a hookah works, im just wondering what makes you get so much more smoke (if its even true at all, but again, I have seen ridiculous hits from people using one)


Secondly, I would like to know what a smoke diffuser actually is, I've looked all around and nowhere ive found has a proper accurate description of one.. All that I know is that it supposedly makes the hits smoother.. If this is the case, can you make them yourself? Are they easy to make?


I apologise for my ignorance, I've only been smoking for a few months..

Definition of diffuser from UD:

A modified down tube for a water pipe that instead of just having one large hole opening into the water, instead the glass comes to a closed tip, along which are several smaller holes. This supposedly cools the smoke before being inhaled by diffusing (spreading) the smoke over a larger area.

And naturally, with hookahs being a larger instrument to smoke out of then lets say, a pipe; there's going to be more room for smoke to fill up in, meaning more smoke to inhale. Same reason why bongs get you more than pipes, pipes get you more than jays, etc.

I want a diffuser so bad. But I can't afford a RooR. I could put one on a non name brand bong, but it seems pointless to me.

I don't know the scientific reasons and all that mumbo-jumbo to how a hookah works, but I've joined in a few hookah smoke sessions, and the amount of smoke you get is insane bro. It's not harsh on your lungs or anything, it actually hurts waaay less to take a bigger hit from a hookah than it does from a bong/bowl/pipe/blunt. & the tobacco was mint-flavored, so the smoke was extremely soothing. Damn man, if only we had mixed in some nice bud...

You can get such great hits from a hookah because the smoke is cooled going down the tube, cooled in the water, builds up in the chamber, then its cooled even more when it goes up the tube, now if you can clear the chamber(rather hard) then you can usually get an even bigger hit(i used to use my hookah as a bong since i didnt have one b4)
