I understand what hash is, but I've never smoked it before. Can someone explain the "high" to me? Is it like the weed high, just stronger? Or different from that?

It all depends on the strain used and how well it was made.

The high usually is that of a body high.

You almost feel numb. I was watching a movie at my friends house one night, only for me to look down at my body and come to the conclussion that something wasnt right. When I had realized I had just consumed some high grade afgani hashish, it all was clear to me. What had initially indicated something wasnt right, was when I looked down at my body, it wasnt there. I could see it, but I couldnt feel it.

Your mind will be affected by it. But your body will be more pronounced than the mind.

Very soothing and calming.

Well I haven't taken hash all so often. When I did take it I didn't get the same high as a marijuana high. It was more like what up in smoke said, although I did see my body lol. But I was numb.

Hash basically produces an Indica high "on steroids"
Very heavy body stone, as you would get from a large amount of a pure Indica strain.
Chemically, there's no difference to it than Pot. It's a concentrated extract, so to speak.
The intensity of the high increases dramatically if it's well made stuff.

What the others have said. If smoked however, it's extremely harsh. For that reason, I'm not a huge fan.

Hashish is most simply a concentrated version of the cannabis plant's trichomes (resins).
Compressed in form, one can then eat it, smoke it, vape it.

The type of high is dependent on whether it was derived from Sativa or Indica.
Similarly, it's medicinal value also correlates to the strain from which it came.

It often has a most unique 'nose' that to some (like myself) is absolutely glorious.

It can be a harsh smoke if one isn't careful, ergo the popularity for thousands of years of taking it thru a water pipe...

Ive only had it once before and I think its a ganja high on steriods. Amazing stuff, but doesnt taste all that great.

And the way we had to smoke, I felt like a damn crackhead, but it was a good time.

A hash high is basically a marijuana high, only stronger, as its a high from THC. in hash, its simply more concentrated. Imagine smoking weed as drinking a beer....hash would be like Jack Daniels or another hard liquor in that its the same substance getting you high, just in a more concentrated form.

AS for the harshness Neko described, I've never encountered that. Hash has always produced a thick, arcid, flavorful smoke, but I've never found it harsh or uncomfortable to smoke. Possibly his/her experiences were based on soapbar or some other sub-par hash?

Im suprised with all the talk about not liking the smell or taste of it.

I honestly give myself headaches just from smelling my fingers after bitting up some hashish. Its the best smell on earth hands down- without exageration.

The taste is right up there as well.
