This is how it goes down where I live. The following prices are for mid-grade, for the most part seedless weed in bud form:

Dime: $10 worth of weed, depending on the delaer. Most about half of an eighth or approximately 1.75g.

Eighth: Anywhere from 3.5g to 4g, depending on the dealer. This will usually run for $20.

Quarter: Will vary 7g to 9g for $40.

Half: This is where it get sketchy. From 14g to 18g depending very much on the dealer. It'll run you about $80.

Ounce: Some dealers are generous, some aren't, but I try to make sure my ounces are at least 32g. With my good dealer, I get them as 36g. Ounces run around here for anywhere from $120 to $160.

i dont really know that much about large amounts of weed yet, but i would really like to know in canadian currency how much 1/8th, 1/2, ounzes, and pounds are.. like some one said that a pound is 450 grams..is that true?? so it means if i sell a gram on the street for 10$ and i sell a pound, im going to make $450?!?! hol ****!

1g of shake $2.5-3€
average to quite potent leafs taken from the bud
probably lot of crap also, but never tried

1g of bud $8-15€
from low grade skunk to crystal coated supersilverhaze

1g of hash $7-15€
can be from great nepalese, afgha to tractor tire

i was surprised when i read in a local newspaper an article about cannabis, and an american who uses MJ for medicinal purposes said that in my town has some of the best weed he had smoked. this could be true, if u know some of the homegrowers, some of them grow some killer strains.

So I know prices vary from location to location, but what I'm wondering is about how you can estimate these measurements, and this is what I have gotten from the posts here:

Eighth: 3.55 grams, about one finger across a ziplock bag.
Quarter: `7 grams.
Half:
Ounce: ~28 grams.

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to buying pot, usually I get it free but my supplier went to collage so not anymore. I'm just looking to buy some and not get ripped off. So if anyone knows the prices in Portland, OR, please say so.

As far as I can tell, its about 20-30 dollars for an eigth of low-mid quality.
