I'm a first time poster from the Westcoast, we use smoke out like "I'm gonna smoke out this guy for the first time, I hope he trips out" or "We smoked out behind the school and got busted by the 5-0" I've never heard or used "smoke up"

yeah around where i live no one says lets smoke out. we're like lets smoke up at lunch or whatever. but yeah we say "yeah man i'll smoke you out" so both are used but in different contexts

Heh, I just say "Let's go smoke". No up or out. But a lot of my friends say "I just smoked Bob" (no up or out) when talking of giving someone free hits.

We're all about smoking up here in SD. Once in awhile "smoked out" makes it into the conversation, usually in reference to someone getting someone lelse high. But, for the most part we go with smoking up. "Hey you wanna smoke up?" "Have I EVER said no to such a question?" LOL Smoked out is usually something like "Yeah, he smoked out all of us, it was the bomb!"

I use the term smoke up! I use smoke out refering to having a smoke out. Just a day or night of a bunch of friends doing nothing but smoking up.

This is how we use the two phrases. Smoke Up means were all going to smoke. Smoke Out usually means one person is going to pack a bowl and get a couple of people high.

Examples:

Let's go over to Puns and "smoke up".

Let's go over to Puns he's going to "smoke us out".
