| Wow you've really been discussing the difference between "smoke out" and "up" for almost 5 pages, excellent. I prefer the terminology "Blaze".. |

| I use "puff up" or "puffed". Also used as closing salutation. Puffs, Bixby I don't do the "smoke out/up" label. The noun "smoke" has a negative connotation. Listen to the definitions and pick one: The gaseous products of burning carbonaceous materials made visible by the presence of small particles of carbon ![]() OR Suspension of particles in a gas ![]() But wait! Here is something of interest. The word "smoke" is synonymous with "marijuana" Gotta hand it to those editors of Webster's dictionary, eh?? ![]() |

| its pretty much been covered. But around this area. Smoke up is either getting high, or getting someone else high for free. A smoke out is a giant smoking session. Lots of pot pieces and people.

| I had always heard people in my area (SouthEast USA) use "smoke up" to refer to the act of smoking, and "smoke out" was the act of getting someone else high... usually a newbie. |
