Did plenty of searches but couldn't find a good answer to this.

What's the difference between your standard pipe and an inside-out pipe?

Best answer I saw was that it was "a bowl within a bowl."

It's like the glass folds around...it is really hard to explain, i just can't determine how to describe it. Where your standard pipe is like one layer of glass, an inside out piece is 2 layers. Very thick, durable, and smooth. Also allows for some nice designs and other artisitic features that you might not be able to achieve with a standard pipe.

A regular glass pipe will have one layer of glass with one design on it. An inside out pipe is made by blowing a regular glass pipe with a design on it, and then when the glass cools, they put a second layer of glass over the first layer with a different design. Sometimes they even put another layer over this.

There's not much of a difference in function, but an inside out pipe often has much more complex designs on it, and is a lot trippier to look at, and also since the glass is super thick, it's almost impossible to break a glass pipe without literally dropping it off a cliff.

i have an i/o pipe and a normal one and the i/o has a way more complex design to it...

Conie, i recently learned that an inside out pipe is just stronger more durable. Usually, they are much more expensive than normal glasss pieces and my advice is to stick with a normal pipe.

...unless you are prone to dropping things. Inside out pipes can withstand a lot of abuse
