There are 28.35 grams in an ounce. A half ounce would be, you guessed it, half of 28.35. If you suck at math download a calculator and divide 28.35 by 2. It will give some huge ass number, but basically a half is around 14+ grams. A quarter is a 1/4 of the ounce. So you would divide 28.35 by 4, about 7 grams exactly. And an 1/8 is, duh, 28.35 divided by 8, which will between 3-4 grams.

that was helpful, i've been smoking for quite a while and would not consider myself an amateur, but i've just always bought from my brother so i didn't really know how much i was actually buying, i'd just give him money and trust him with how much he gave me cause he wouldn't fuck me over. how much does 1/8 usually cost? and how much does an ounce usually cost? about 100?

Only is is scwhag, or lower quality mids, generally. High qaulity weed can run up to 400 bucks an oz, sometimes more. If you are getting an oz for 100 bucks, chances are its opf pretty poor quality. With weed, as anything else, you get what you pay for. High quality comes with a high price tag.

An 1/8th is 3 grams.. At least here it is. Sometimes well get a bit more or a bit less (30 dollars)
1/4th should be 6 grams.. but last time my friends and I split the price it was only 50 dollars, not 60.. but that was because we both got 5 dollars off.

an 1/8th SHOULD be 3.5. and a 1/4 7....if they don't weigh that, as in the 3 and 6 you are referring to, you are getting ripped off. Itys not as if people make up what an 1/8th weighs....its 3.5 grams. If you are getting less, and people are calling it an 1/8th, you are not getting what you are paying for.

Like I've said before, it's probably because I'm low in the food chain, but when I buy an 1/8th its the ammount of money not the amount of bud. A typcial 1.8th around here is $40 for 4.0 grams.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but if you NOT getting 3.5 grams, you aren't buying an "1/8th". You might be buying a "40 sack" that happens to weigh a little more than an 1/8th, but that doesn't make it an 1/8th. 1/8th of an oz=3.5 grams, simple as that. An 1/8th isn't 3 grams, and it isn't 4 grams. Its THREE POINT FIVE GRAMS!!

1/8 refers to an eighth of an ounce of marijuana . an eighth of an ounce = 3.5 grams. simple as that
