ahahahhaha u guys. "L" doesnt stand for JOINT...it stands for BLUNT. trust me...i know. where it comes from? im not sure. but the second letter of BLUNT is L. i know it stands for blunt tho. not joints, joints are jays. aiight PEAJ OUT

the term "L" comes from a joint made by putting 2 papers together so that it is a one and a half paper long joint.
so your've got one full length paper, one attached to the end of it sideways by the sticky side (which makes an 'L' shape), and maybe you even have a third paper, but this makes a solid block, it isnt really an L shape anymore. So thats just a plain ole 3 paper blunt i suppose.

sorry but both people who gave definitions of an "L" are wrong, at least to NYC standards. Here an L is universally known as a Dutch. a blunt is close, but we only call dutches "L's"

yea here in toms river w/ call phillies/dutches L's i never heard of useing ne thing else to roll a blunt w/ also you can "pencle pac" a black&mild call em blunts 2
