i understand you do not use a screen in a glass piece. Why is that?

You can use a screen in a glass bowl. It's just that most of the time you don't have to, especially if you are using bud and not shake.

The hole is usually too small for anything to fall through except the most tiny pieces of shaker, and why would you want to smoke shake anyways? :-P

It depends on the bowl. I had a glass piece that I had to use a screen with. I picked up some glass screens and those work great.

You can use a screen if you want; most people prefer the taste without a screen. I personally hate screens in glass pipes; if you know what you're doing you dont need one. Just put a small nug over the hole, it acts as a smokeable screen

Local Head shop. I like these quite abit. They are as easy to clean as a pipe too.

I pull too hard when i smoke so if i dont put in a screen I suck ash. Watching burning embers getting sucked into my mouth bothers me. But the hole in my piece is really big.

i was looking at the bowl and it actually has like 2 holes, one is much smaller, could that be a flaw? im not talking about the shotgun hole
