first off id like to state that i tried a search but "leo" was under the minimum letter length (4) and wouldnt perform the search

i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the term LEO is (from what ive read im guessing its the police) and any ideas of where the term came from?

in all my experiences ive never heard anyone use the term LEO unless it was their horoscope, so i was just hoping one of you people could enlighten me.

chillin at the apartment, surfing the net, come across the funniest picture of Leonardo Di Caprio smoking a drawn in joint we've ever seen. Dubbed weed "Leo" from that day on. Term spread amongst circle and sellers. Couple months later heard a stranger say it. It's very lightly used, and we like it that way. When we want to meet up with Leo, no one knows wtf we're talking about, pretty much. I think you've really got to smoke to have heard that term. Peace-

Wow, that is quite interesting!!!

I prefer referring to police/cops/heat as LEO's, something about it doesn't induce the instant shock of 'Cop!' if your trying to be discreet with friends or something. I have never heard it used to refer to weed however.

In these forums, LEO does indeed mean Law Enforcement Officer.....I've NEVER heard weed referred to as "leo" and honestly believe tyhats a bit of slang that never made it beyond a particular group of friends or their associates. Its certainly not a widespread slang tyerm for weed. In reality, weed has probably been called about everything at some point and time.......l
