true, my friend, the point is that hydro can be extremly potent if grown properly and in good conditions, most of the time it is and thats why some people call good bud "hydro". The other reason people call it hydro is just cause it is hydroponicly grown.

I think a bigger issue isn't that they're confusing hydroponically grown mj with a type of strain, I think the issue is that they automatically assume that hydro mj is the best you can get.

Just like sugarmonster said, a badly produced hydro system (or a well-produced system with a negligent gardener) can put out bad weed.

Saying 'I got some hydro' SHOULD have the same assumptions of qulaity as saying 'I got some outdoor' or 'I got some soil bud' is, I think, the point.

The point is don't be misled and don't mislead others.

An expert grower is going to have mad weed whether it was grown in soil or a hydroponic medium. With hydroponics, it's likely easier to have an overall good quality because it's easier to control your environment. But you can have a good hydro system without the vented rooms, humidifiers, barometers, heaters, etc... Saying that hydroponics is for the 'Expert grower only' is ALSO misleading. Each way of growing has its pros and cons and in the end, I think it all comes down to personal preference more than overall guaranteed quality of product.

Assuming hydro means good = bad.
Assuming hydro is hard = bad.
Confusing your terminology = bad.

Indo... your one smart guy. I personally wouldnt have thought to post it. But... come to think of it Hydro is one of the most missused terms i know of. People always refer to good tree as hydro, rather then tree grown hydroponicly. Glad you thought to clear it up.
