I'm not sure if this is the correct usage, but is shotgunning the small but amply quick breath after a hit from any instrument to inhale the smoke deeper into your lungs? If not, than what is it?

a Shot gun can be performed in a couple ways. I dont think they're supposed to be done unless your giving one to a girl. but thats just my opinion.

One way you can give a shotgun is by just taking a hit, and exhaling it into a girls mouth by getting really close face to face or locking lips. The ladder is always the preferred method for me, if she's good looking, otherwise i wouldnt even bother.

Another way to do it is take a blunt, or joint and place it in your mouth cherry first and then u just exhale, smoke will be coming out of the end where you would normally hit it.

You can do a shotgun to another guy, providing-

1) He's a new smoker.
2) You exhale through a pipe instead of mouth to mouth.

- There is other ways it's called a Shotgun, ok let me see if I can explain this, First touch your Pointer Finger and Dumb together so it makes a Circle and your Three other Fingers are Sticking out, now get the other person to do that. Next put the Blunt/Joint in your Mother, Cherry first then Attach your Hand to there in that Form I mentioned, and put your Hand other both of your Hands and exhale and they Take a hit, That's how Guys do it down here so no one looks gay, but for Girls, Take a Big hit and Lip to Lip.

In my posted story, a cousin's friend did a shotgun to me, but it was sorta different. Maybe this is called something else though. A sawed-off or something maybe, haha.

First they said to bend over (shutup, no laughing, wasn't like that :P) and start taking in deep breaths.
[Maybe you did this as young kids too, when we were preteen and early teens we'd do this, real stupid though. Sit down and bend over, take deep breaths for a min, then stand up quick and kinda like tighten up your head muscles and walk. You'd start to black out, stumbling around falling over. Stupid thing to do and I don't recommend it at all. The reason you get dizzy is cause of the lack of blood pressure to the brain, causing you to black out. I chipped a few teeth like that and I don't think it's good on the brain either, haha.]
Anyway, they said to do that, blow out all your air and stand up real quick and put my hands cupped on my mouth, they said he'd take a hit and blow smoke through my hands and for me to inhale and hold it in as long as I could.
So I did that, stood up, cupped my hands making a tube, he took a HUGE hit from that joint, and blew through my hands, I inhaled it all and held it. I remember the sight of seeing them there and falling backwards, everying changed suddenly like a dream, then coming to laying on my back on the ground and laughing like crazy, I couldn't stop for a few minutes, instant toast.
That really does hit you like a shotgun.

again, I don't recommend it cause I dunno the effects of lowering the blood pressure to your brain so much, especially coupling that with a shotgun.

The hand hook up is pretty standard method for a good shotgun, and it doesn't feel gay

For less gay shotguns (I love gay shotguns as much as straight shotguns but many of my compadres do not), you can hit a blunt or fatty like a cigar, and puff out smoke rings if your good or just a cloud. That can be inhaled in the air. Never knew anyone who got high just doing that, and it is a dern shame if there is any wind or A/C
