| Where did this word come from? I was watching Fear and loathing in Las vegas the other day, and at the part of the convention where the cop tells about the roach being called a roach because it looked like a roach, then johnny and the other guy laughing and cursing him out made me wonder hwo that word roach did come to be? |

| a roach in Canada just means the end of a joint that is unsmokable as it will burn your fingers, cardboard filters are not common. I have no idea where the term came from....

| Yeah a roach is when the joint or blunt is too small to hit. I live in the US and we also use it as a verb (i.e. "u wanna roach it or what?") when its time to put it out. another word i've heard for "roach" is "duck". i have no idea how that one started.... |
