coughing up hits always blows! not only is it embarassing because sometimes you cant stop but it hurts and its a waste of what could have been a damn good hit!

lol me n my boyz always make this deep "whoooooooo" sound when we take a huge hit but cant hold it in, we sotra release it in a controlled fasion by "whooo"ing it out laff its so hard to explain

Yeah, that's the sound of you breathing out through your mouth when it's in a candle blowing out position. You have make your mouth small and stick it out a lot. Then exhale slowly. It does make that sound, if that's not what you're talking about.

i think coughing off a bong rip is a great thing, if you cough in to the bong and spill water, you shoudl be kicked in the fore head with golf shoes, but other than that it means your trying to get as stoned as possible and thats all that matters. and when someone coughs off my bong its liek a power trip or a compliment that my bong can still put a regualar smoker in the dirt,

Yep, coughing gets you higher (assuming the hit has been in your lungs for awhile) because it opens up your lungs. There's a thread about it somewhere on cheaptalk...
