Now settling that a dime bag is $10 worth, what is a nickel bag? I assumed that it is $5 worth. But I was watching Jay and Silent Bob strike back and the kid that walks up to them asks for a nickel bag. Jay tells the kid fifteen bucks. What?Why.

As far as I know Nickel has 2 meanings 1) a 5 dollar bag,usually being a half gram or 2) $25 for 3.5 grams (as plains informed me). We all know that Jay is a sheisty kinda guy so my guess is he was just ripping the kid off and it was supposed to be humorous.

Well, the price will vary depending on...But yeah, back when the world made sense a nickel was half of a quarter bag (clear as mud now, right?).

A quarter was 7 grams so a nickel would be 3.5...I don't know when they started with the current definition of 5 bucks worth.
Of course, back when I was a kid, the nickels (3.5 grams) were sold for 5 bucks too and the quarters were $10 (dime bags).

Umm...an ounce of good stuff averages, for retail, around $400, possibly more, possibly less. According to plains, an ounce was $40 back in the stone age.

Inflation has not been 1000% since way back when.
