Its all about quality. In many areas top quality buds go for double that price. Then again, if you're used to schwag or regs, the price is going to seem high. I pay $45 for amn 8th of high quality marijuana, and I'm happy to do so. its well worth the money. That works out to actually be about 13 dollars a gram....I also buy brick weed for 100 bucks on oz, which works out to $3.57 a gram.....but you get what you pay for. I'm guessing however, that if you think 10 bucks a gram is too high of a price to pay, your weed is likely closer in quality to the stuff I pay 3.57/gram for than the stuff I pay 13 bucks a gram for.
OK, you got ripped off. You should have gotten 3.5 grams of bud, not including the weight of the bag. Considering you paid 10 bucks over the "average" price of high quality weed (50 bucks/3.5 grams) I'd definitely either find a different dealer, or call him on it next time he tries shorting you. Not much you can do about it now, because, after the fact, you can't prove anything. However, next time, bring a scale and/or have him weigh it out in front of you. When dealing with a substance thats actually more valuable than gold by weight, you can't be expected to include the packaging in the final weight.

Lol i've just been buying weed, plain and simple. I don't ask for high quality becuase i find the stuff i get is great. I live in Canada and the prices are great. $10 4 1g and $20 4 2g, from there prices lower per gram. $25 4 3 3.5g and i even paid $50 4 7g. Plus its not like i'm ever short of it, friends just smoke it casually and don't expect anything back. I have some they get some etc.

all yall prices are fucking crazy

in Cleveland a dimebag is 1/10 of an ounce which is 1.5 grams
a 20 sac is 3.5 or and 8th..but most people charge $25
quarter is 7 which is usualy $35-$50 depending on the dealer

so on and so forth..and ounce around here is like $120 and i usually make a about $220 per ounce(mod note-Talking about how much you make per oz is a dealing reference. please review the posting guidelines so you understand why this is not accecptable

Here, this is how it breaks down. A zip runs around 45-60 can get up in the 70's but everyones got to make that dolla, and it depends on the quality. the prices im showing are for mid-range schwag. It breaks down to roughly $2.14 a gram, provided that the zip is 28 grams.

Price comparisons are pointless, IMO, unless theres a way to determine what quality the weed being discussed actually is.....Of course someone's ozs of schwag are going to be considerably less than someone else's oz of Sour Diesel. Unless theres a viable way to compare quality, the prices are going to be all over the place. For example, I've paid everywhere from 10 bucks to 60 bucks for an 1/8th oz of weed.....however, the quality was VASTLY different between the two, and though I paid 6 times as much for one of the bags, I felt I got my money's worth.

I usually smoke a .20 bowl. So a gram for me would be around five bowls.
