Well... how much (grams) is he planning to buy and of what grade? Because if it's mid grade then $120 would be approximately 1/2 oz here. So if you get half an ounce then you're probably not getting ripped off. (Reminder 1/2 oz = about 14-15 grams) So in fact, according to your logic you're paying less. But if you get anything less than 12grams for $120 then you probably got jipped (if you're buying mid grade stuff).

And when buying it from him I would suggest you ask to watch him weigh it out. Just so you can approve of the deal.

I guess I get standard pricing where I am at:

I dunno what they would give you in anything less than a quarter cuz that is the smallest amount that I buy but the way it works for me (and I am friends with my dealers, so that prolly helps) is as follows:

7g - $25
14g - $50
21g - $75
1oz - $100

The weed doesn't vary a whole hell of a lot in quality. Most of it is mid to high level middies.

It's funny though, reading thru this thread I got to thinkin man, if I torched up some of the really good shit (widow, blueberry, sour diesel, etc) then I would probably be fucked out of my mind. But then I thought back to a couple of weeks ago when I was partying with my old hippy buddy and he had some shit that he said he paid $320 for an ounce of (comparable to the SoCal prices shared earlier for the really good shit i mentioned above) and I smoked the hell out of it and I didn't feel any higher than I do when I smoke my mids. So, I figure if he had the "best stuff around" that he paid $320 an ounce for and it didn't get me any higher at all than the shit I buy for $100 an ounce, why bother paying 3x as much, right?

I get those prices listed, but for that, I get absolute shit weed. Yes, its green, but its bricked, has seeds, tastes bad, etc. It does get me high, but its DEFINITELY a different experience than firing up some top quality weed (which runs me 280 or so an oz and is worth every penny). Simply put, in your scenario, its likely someone got ripped off if he paid #420 for an oz of weed that was comparable to your cheaper stuff. An oz of dank runs me 3x what I pay for brickweed, and I gladly pay it every cahnce I get, because the quality difference IS that appearent to me

Well, i am headin back home in like two weeks and i have somebody pickin me up a quarter of dro for $70. If that shit is as advertised then I will know that my hippy buddy got jammed up for sure. I am really hoping that this higher price is worth the money that I am spending or i am gunna be awfully pissed off.

your getting jipped. their is no fixed rule for dime bags. dime bags are called dime bags because they are ten dollars worth of stuff. its like asking, "what can I get for 10 dollars." it all depends on your weed. i smoke high end and its about 20 per gram (a d bag would be half a gram). but since you bought quantity, the price per gram should be lower. for one gram of "aurora" its 20 but when i bought a fourth (actually 9 grams) he lowered the price to 15/gram. just know that it varies based on the quality of weed and that its not fixed, meaning it lowers the more you buy. its tough being smart about "transactions" on a subject that's not exactly legit.

Normally around my parts it would be:

1g $5
2g $10
4g $20
7g $25-30
14g $50
28g $100

Mind you thats for regs. I hardly ever see anyone deal in the 1 and 2 gram market. It's practically a waste of money at that point, as if I need I can normally get a g or 2 off a friend if I'm out.

Dime Bag... = 2 grams
Etc..... Of course the prices vary between areas and dealers
But that is the rule of thumb, period.
