Q-tips usually work well for cleaning most pieces. if it's a small bowl, maybe rip some of the cotton off and shove it in there. use toothpicks if neccessary, and flush it out with water. works for me.

Default foil

Well everyone keeps talking about how dangerous the foil is. My question to you then is why do you use foil then when smoking a hookah, seems like the same thing is possible when you put charcoal on the foil it is going to heat the **** out of it. Companies sell the pre made foils so really doubt that it is to dangerous to use foil. But hey that is just my opinion.

I don't know much about hookas, but I do know that it is unsafe to inhale burning aluminum. It is okay to cook with, but not to inhale.

I've never used or heard of people using aluminum with a hookah but I think Weiisky just laid the issue to rest.

I dunno if aluminium foil is pure aluminum though, i think its an alloy with a much higher melting point than pure aluminum. Once a couple freinds and me tried making a thermite reaction with ground aluminium foil, iron III oxide scrapings and magnesium burning for high activation, and it never worked and then i read somewhere that it wont work with aluminum foil, either because of a coating or alloy. But im sure it cant be good for you.

Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil is 98.5% aluminum. The balance is primarily iron and silicon. These are added to give the strength and puncture resistance obtained only in the alloy used in Reynolds household foil.

...

Aluminum for Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil is placed into alloying furnaces at the continuous cast plant in Hot Springs, Arkansas and heated until molten. It is then modified to the correct alloy chemistry and fed into a machine known as a "continuous caster." The continuous caster converts molten aluminum to a coil of metal by forcing it between large, water cooled chill rollers at several feet per minute. The aluminum is formed as a long sheet with a thickness of .045". It's rolled into large coils that measure 74 inches in diameter and weigh over 30,000 pounds! These coils are shipped in Reynolds' specially designed rail cars to Richmond and Louisville, where they are converted into the Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil we all know.

Default not crazy after all

I knew i was not crazy, and most websites that you can buy hookahs from have premade foil wraps.

While i agree i do not like to use it because it can add a slight taste, i prefer to use a metal charcoal screen. My point is that if you used correctly foil is not dangerous.
