Something unmentioned I believe, is the purpose of grinding bud. First of all, there is a difference between shake and bud put through a grinder. Shake is typically referring to the "bottom of the bag" type plant material which is mostly comprised of leafy and stem materials. Undesirable. So bud is put through a grinder to reveal more surface area of the flower thereby allowing the weed to burn continuously like a cigarette. It also allows for more of the THC to be released as the surface area is increased. One may also use a grinder to collect crystalline THC in the form of keif (resinous trichomes from the bud) which can later be smoked for a more potent high or be pressed into hashish.

Hey, Ive got one thing to add, I'm not sure if this is the globaly accepted ammount, but in my neighborhood, a dub is 2 grams, a dime 1, and a nic .5.

I don't know if anyone has corrected you yet (didn't really feel like scanning the whole thread) but a dub is actually more like 1/16 or a 20 bag...usually 1.7 grams.

around here nic dime and dub refer to prices rather than weights.

*Cronic and kush cant be used to determin how good the buds are cuz there is bomb ass chronic thats better than kush

**Just because nugs have seeds doesnt mean its not dank, i means the plant was fertilized or it was a hermaphodite**
