A few nights ago, my friends and I went to the mall/movies. On the way from the truck to the door, a group of guys were walking out to their vehicle. One of them kinda waved and hey "Any y'all gotta square for a quarter?"

Can anyone explain what this meant?


(if this thread is off topic, i apologize. I have no idea what the saying means.)

If I'm not mistaken, a square is a cigarette. So, they wanted a cigarette and would pay a quarter (25 cents) for it. I hope I'm right about this. If I am, it would be off topic.
