The use of the words "hydro" and "dro" had died down a bit for a while and I thought we were safe. Nope. They've sprung back up! Ehem/begin rant:

Dro or Hydro doesn't describe the quality of the weed nor is it a strain. It is simply a term used to describe the method of cultivation(hydroponically). I could grow some terrible weed hydroponically and still label it as Dro. The only reason that the terms hydro and dro became synonymous with potent weed is that USUALLY if you've taken the time and effort to setup a decent hydroponic grow system, you're going put that same effort into producing the highest quality weed you can.

Sadly thanks to all the idiot rappers and movie script writers dro has become the second "dank" when in reality all it means it that there was no soil used in the cultivation, probably only something like perlite or even rocks to keep the roots and plant stable.

Hopefully we never hear people saying they got some Aero or Air or whatever because soon the rappers and kiddies will discover areoponics(sp?).

In closing, dro and hydro mean NOTHING about potency or general quality. Everytime you use those words believing it means something other than how the plant was grown you show a complete lack of any accurate drug/botanical knowledge AND a hot woman's chest shrinks 3 cup sizes. So straighten up kiddies!

Also, most dealers use it as a term to describe any high quality marijuana.

I suppose a lot of the newer memebers could be educated by his though, so I'll say thank you for the info and wander away slowly...'...

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

well hydro is hyrdo.. and the potency is different in my opinion... you know when you have hydro, when your stems are hollow... dank... well I think dank has lost its meaning over the past few years, but dank is pretty much refered to as canadians \ beesters. Dank was grown from soil... there is a difference in dank and hydro. Id take hydro anyday. But yall are def right, everyone bullshits on what they got, unless you really know your shit. Mid's.. or what I like to call, boo boo mids, is anything from low grade to seedy bud. schwag, well thats just dirt... Hiedis is high - ultra grade... u know .. ur sour diesel, ak47, cotton candy, purp, and so on... Hiedis range anything from properly grown, and curate beester (tastse a whole lot diff from the reg beester..) to the pine.. all the way to super exotics.

Also the word "DANK" has nothing to do with how the buds were grown... "dank" refers to buds that contain alot of moisture and are real fuckin sticky icky....

And your reading comprehension is lacking....he never said a word about Dank being a method of growing. What he said was "dro" has become interchangable with"dank" in common slang, when in reality "dro" means it was hydroponically grown. Don't rush to conclusions, because its obvious you didn't even understand what you attempted to read and then so rudely commented on.
