When I said pass to the right, I meant for the first person to hit the bowl to be sitting to the RIGHT of the person who packed it..(assuming you are being kind/generous).

I always "corner" my bowls--leave green for the next person.

Leftys tend to pass right since they hold the lighter with their left hand, rightys tend to pass left since they hold the lighter with their right hand. So it depends on who started the rotation.

Hey everyone...um. I'm new here...but there are a couple of rules I really like to adhere to, and they are: 1. If there's green still in the bowl (I don't care if it's the 12th bowl, and you're about to pass out), then it keeps getting smoked. No left overs. and 2. If there are at least two people in a group who wish to load another bowl, then another bowl must be loaded for everyone to smoke. I don't know, I just don't think giving up cause you're already baked as fuck is a good idea. Just get more baked as fuck.

You can add this if you want, A must for me and my friends.... If someone has just bought a new bowl/pipe/bong whatever. Even if its not their weed, they get first hit from their new pipe. Recently my buddy got a sweet bowl, and my other buddy packed it and handed it to him, he refused because it wasnt his weed, and my buddy who had the weed smoked it first. We were all pretty pissed at him, you dont steal the first hit like that on a new bowl.

If I'm breaking in a new piece and others are around, I always let someone else take the first hit out of my new piece. I dunno, I guess I figure I'll have plenty of time later on my own to hit and enjoy it!!!

me and my mates usually take the hole cone in one(unless its a really big cone). this way everyone gets a fresh hit and everyone get really high!

some other rules we have are:

- ALWAYS pass left(however when there is say a group of 5+ people we have found it works very well if you roll up say 3 joints then spark them and pass it to whoever is not tokin at the time. this is a very effective way to get very stoned when you have a big group in the session.

- whoever rolled the joint gets to spark it always.
- whoevers bud it is get first hit
- if we are sitting in a rotation and someone gets up to take a leak or get a guzzle they can say chairback and that means no one can take their spot.
- if were not doing one hitter cones whoever it gets cut on get the next fresh hit.

i once had this friend who used to hang out with my mates and he was very anoying when it came to smoking. he broke all the rules. he packed himself a fredh cone then hit it then passed it with a minute amount left in the cone and youd have it and say "cut" then he would take the cone pack another cone and have the first fresh hit again. he was the only one that got fresh hits when it was his weed. as a result he was usually high after a few cones and no one else was at all then he stopped the session. very annoying.

around here, the person whos weed it is gets first hit, then it goes back to whoever packed it/owns the bowl, and we rotate from there. And I'm always the one with a bowl and the packer, so it works out nice for me

Personally I like just like it going around in a circle, whoever gets a really bad hit, no hit, or scooby snacks starts up the next bowl. I think the optimal way in regards to weed distribution, fairness, happines, etc in theory is to that, but other options are ok if I'm not the one packin. Everyone takin ace on their own bowl is ok too if everyone has weed. Also always corner in proportion to how many people there are unless you're doing some crappy like 8 person roto with only one pipe , torching is only acceptable if there's not green/not much left or if you're as cool as me and just like to torch on occasion to mess with ur pals

I do up like whoever's weed is it get's first hit always, and who ever rolled the joint or packed the bowl get's second hit.

the way i do it is....everyone sits where they sit if its a bowl its kind of a toss up between packer and whos weed it is for first hit unless they are the same person (which it often is)....pesonally, my friends and I don't adhere to a definitive left or right rotation....usually its whoever the first hitter decides to pass to or sometimes my friend (whos from italy) got us to say "cici leo" which is a custom he used in italy which means something like whose got the egg....the first person in the circle to say "leo" meaning i've got the egg gets the next hit....you can also use capitals of countrys/states or math equations to establish a rotation..usually if someone gets a shitty hit they get to start the next bowl and the rotation continues....if its a joint however whoever rolls sparks it regardless of who's weed it is but its usually customary to pass it the direction that would get it to the person whose weed it is the fastest....so those are most of our "rules"
