It reminds me of other cool words like rad, awesome, far out... I also think "Cannabis" is like that also. It makes me imagine were still in the far out, flower child 60's/70's.

But I would understand if you think the word "dope" implies that were all dumbasses.

I think kronik sounds up there with the coolest, even though it kind of makes me think of pot that has been laced with crap and grown badly. It sounds almost artificial. But still cool.

Saying "kronik" makes me sound like a hardcore dude, it's the most gangstar thing I can say while stayin a skinny white boy.

Oh yeah, and doobie is a classic instead of a J.

I'd sooner like to eliminate the word pot, it sounds really dirty.

I don't mind any of the terms, but if i HAD to eliminate one, it'd be dope....simply because its more commonly associated with heroin than it is weed, and I wouldn't want any confusion as to what poeple thought i meant if I said I was getting a fat bag of dope. Weed, however, has always been a part of my vocabulary, and I likely use the term more than any other when describing marijuana. I see no need to eliminate it....though, I guess I DO do my part to eliminate it...a bit at a time...through my bong, bowl, or in ajoint! THAT is the ONLY way you'll ever see me "eliminating" weed

i dont like the word dope because it is sometimes applied to other drugs. i had never thought of the word weed in that light though. i will try not to use it though, and see how it works out. I like green, tree, or smoke, myself.

I kinda hate the word "pot", it's so short and derogatory-sounding. Kinda like saying "spic" or something.

yeh... it is a weed and i dont mind the word...i like calling it weed :P

but like you said i dont like dope or pot... both those words have negative conotations to me and i try not to use them :P

OMG I KNOW!! Anti-drug athority figures always call it "pot" or "dope", and they always kinda spit the word out to put extra emphasis on their negative attitude towards the plant.

On another note, I try not to use "grass" either because that's what Ronald Reagan always called it in all his speeches.
