| I can see your point here, but I usually call it "weed" because its easier to say than "chronic" and I don't like the word "dope" at all. I also think that "pot" is a dirty sounding name and that calling it "weed" puts marijuana in a much better light than calling it "pot." Another word I like to use is "bud". |

| I can understand that for some people "weed" might have negative connotations. For most people, the word "weed" can bring up images of plants that are hated for one reason or another. However, I think it's a word that can be negative or positive, depending on the context. "Knife" is another such word; it can be used for something positive or negative. "Run! He's got a knife!" "I need a knife to cut this meat." "Aw shit, the weeds are taking over my garden." "Let's smoke some weed." I dunno, if someone says to me, "Let's smoke some weed," I'm not gonna go, "Aw, well I would have, but you used that ugly word." Personally, I usually use the words "weed", "bud" or "magic grass."

| I also don't like terms 'weed' and 'pot' that much either. They do feel like very abrasive words, and I try to avoid using them when I can. I always felt like "dope" was supposed to be used in reference to harder drugs, too. But you know what they say... |

| For me, it's easy. I don't smoke anything but "weed". So if I ever want to smoke it, all I say is "let's smoke". I rarely ever talk about it in the tense that would force me to say the word 'weed', 'pot', 'ganja', 'dank', 'chronic', etc. If I do, I call it "buddy". An example would be: "Hey, wanna go see what buddy's up to?" I know that sounds lame, but you never know when someone is listening to what you're saying when they shouldn't be.

Hell, even brown would be crazy!" |

| I think that marijuana should be eliminated before weed is. Let's face it, when you get arrested for possession of cocaine, they don't write "blow" on the court documents. You can get arrested for possession of LSD, but not "acid." See where I'm going? Marijuana is nothing but Mexican slang for Cannabis. Most people in this country think that it is the actual correct term to use, but it's NOT!
