There are many names for our beloved plant. I will not name them all, but there is one word which I think must go.

Weed.

It's simply an ugly word - "weed."

Just say it to yourself a few times. Think about it this way; it's as if it is simply a dirty plant that has been plucked from the dirt. That's what the word "weed" sounds like.

We all know what a "weed" is. A dead ugly brown plant.

It's a big ask, but i'll never be saying "weed" again. From now on for me, it's words that sound more fresh. "Pot, Marijuana, Dope, Kronik," cool, green, tasty sounding words like that.

Not "weed."

Thanks for letting me have my stupid bullshit rant about nothing.

Case closed.

I like the word...weed. There are plenty of weeds that are beautiful! MJ is a beautiful weed!


Now the word...dope. I'd rather not use that word. It makes me feel like people are suggesting that I'm a dope for smoking weed or that smoking weed makes you a dope. To each his own...I'll stick with my beautiful word...weed

You're forgetting one thing: Marijuana is a weed.

I think that there's a more negative perceptions of the word "pot" and "dope."

Frankly, bud is probably the best to use, and it's the one that I use the most.

Dope is the one I don't particularly like hearing, weeds cool though. Cannabis is like the king of weeds.

I like the word weed though I understand what your saying. First here is the definition of weed from Merriam-Webster:

I think that when you look at this definition as well as it's common usage you see that the negative view of the word comes from our view of the world.
It's all a matter of "point of view".
So many people see beautiful landscaping and perfect yards where weeds are detested.
I prefer nature and that is a different perspective to look at it from. Go into the mountains or an unpopulated area and look at the wild flowers and weeds growing. Many weeds are very beautiful in their natural environment (dandelions as one example).

So I say look at weeds from a different perspective and as someone else said, our weed is King.
