So I was gonna put this in the "Marijuana: what do u call it" thread but then I was like hmm Wtf? I dont call my sweet ass dank "Krypt". Here is y and the beginning of "Krypt"

Krypt:

This is a "fake" marijuana term. It was derived in the early 90 when Krypt and Bloods gangs references where becoming popular in our local media voice.

We used this term b/c back in the day the media portrayed that the black male was the only guys who smoked weed. As "Black" was comming to fasion.

So b/c of the black, gang relation ideas that were floating around we began to use a term that was being popularized by our local media by talkn about gang violence.

So to have some krypt weed u have weed that is hardcore, can whip ya ass, and expensive.

Altho Krypt terms like Krypt :P have died out some rare old skool folk might still use it.
But all in all Krypt should have never been a name given to Marijuana.

i dono what u are talkin about but over here in miami EVERYONE calls chronic krippy krip kripto etc. not once has anyone linked bloods and crips to krippy

hmm...odd well with my and my normal grp we never used krypt never heard of it until a few ppl mentioned it here....then I asked one of the dealers I get it from who is actually pretty smart on most things we talk about...but Im sry if this wrong this is what I heard of from what I thouht was a prettty reliable source...Lata

P.S. Alaska and Flordia are kinda far apart...
