I noticed that on the home page for this site there are links which allow people to buy, from what I can tell, some sort of marijuana substitute.
So what I'm curious to know is what exactly what this stuff is, and if it is worth buying (because $50 an ounce doesn't sound bad!)
If nothing else at least its colorful.....

I personally have never tried any of these products, but i have heard from many people that they are not as great as they claim to be. They are not a marijuana substitute, nor do they produce very many effects. Some claim the taste of the smoke is great while others, do not like it all.

The site admin (rick) wrote a huge post about this same topic a few years ago that is great, you might want to try to find it (search button), but i have no idea where it is.

I dropped 50 bucks on a half of hawaiian gold legal buds, worst purchase Ive ever made. It doesnt taste good, it doesnt give you a buzz whatsoever, it isnt even passable to sell to an unknowing customer as weed.

If youre looking for something to smoke thatll give you a buzz, a cigarette is the closest thing. Those legal buds make cigs look like a joint of some fire.

Anyone curious about these "Legal Alternatives" should try going to Erowid and looking up the herbs used in these mixtures. You'll find that many of the ingredients (Wild Dagga, Kava, Artemisia absinthium, etc.) are, in fact, psychoactive. While it won't be anything like smoking marijuana, these herbs can definitely alter your consciousness (provide relaxation, stimulation, what have you). As with any conscious-altering substance, individual reactions will vary. It's simply a matter of finding the combination and dose that's right for you. I have tried them and I like them just fine. They're great for mixing with weed--especially to help mask the smell--and they're good for getting you through until that next paycheck comes or until your man "re-ups''. You can't expect it to be just like weed, you just have to take it for what it is: a legal, reasonably effective alternative (in my opinion, at least. Others may feel differently about their "effectiveness").

Note: I can only speak for the "Herbal Smoking Blends" sold on the site. I have not tried the "Legal Buds," nor do I intend to, as I can find little information regarding the ingredients.

Bought legal bud on herbal smoke shop once. was very disappointed was cheap but didnt do nothing didnt even feel mild buzz of any nature..Waste of money

High, everyone........I'm in a period of not smoking pot, waiting for a new job drug test. i'm really curious about other smokes, i've learned a lot about salvia lately, and might try it.
But I can find NO information about all the stuff that we see ads for all over the place.

If it's legal, and it's herbs, why don't they tell us anything about it? Like a name for the herb, whats in it, how it affects you, where its grown, or it's history or something?

I'd really like to try it, but i'd like to learn more first. Anyone know any thing about these herbs/buds?

OK, i know what your gonna say,: use the search. I did. I know it's not pot, I know it doesn't get you high, or contain THC.

i guess i'm looking for something a little more technical.
