I feel like an idiot asking this, but I don't want to sound like an idiot tomorrow. Anyway, there's this new guy at work, and I'm pretty sure he sells. When I bring it up, what should I call the weed? Weed? Nugs? Bud?

I'm sure all of those would be ok, but I just don't want to sound like the noob that I am. My old dealer either had Nugs or Mids, so that was simple. Other than that, I don't know what most people call it.

Be careful, tread carefully. Just use whatever it is called the most in your area. "Weed" is probably the safest to use in all area. All places are different..."uggets never means bad weed in my area, for example, it usually refers to KB, or pretty nice middies, in good size nuggets."

For some reason, I don't know if this is just in my area, but we almost never call it "pot" when we're talking of buying or smoking. We only call it pot when we talk about the past...

I didn't get to bring it up today. I only seen the guy for a little bit, and this isn't something you just blurt out. I don't really know how to bring it up.

Well at least you know that it isn't something to just blurt out. Anyways here are a few ways I used to bring up the subject when I was new to smoking and a little nervous. One thing I always did was bring it up as a joke at first and gauge their how they react. That way if he doesn't smoke or sell you can just play it off as just kidding around.
examples -
If you see/know he smokes ciggarettes ask to bum one, or step outside and join him on a smoke break. Then after the casual chit-chat say something like "I don't know why I even waste my time smoking these...they don't even make stuff funny."
or if he does something funny or odd you can say "Man what are you smoking and where do I get some?"

Either way once you have mentioned weed watch his reaction. If he laughs, smiles, nods his head, says "right on", or anything along those lines then you're probably safe asking where you could get some. I'm good at reading people so this has always worked for me, but they key is starting with humor.

And for what to call it...stick with the basics (bud, pot, weed) because any stoner will know what you're talking about. Or just walk up to him with a dead serious glare and say "Reefer." hahahahaha ok maybe not that last part but the other stuff works and keeps you safe in case you totally read him wrong and he tries to tell the boss.

Last year, I hung out with this one kid who smokes for a few months. He knew quite a few people who sold bud. One time, I drove him to meet this dealer. I got a quick look at him and his car.

I cut off all contact with that kid once he started getting into hard drugs.

Fast foreward to 3 weeks ago. The new guy at work looks just like him. Earlier this week, I seen that he drives the same car as the dealer. Plus, he has the same first name, so now I'm 99% sure that it's him. I still don't want to blurt it out because that would be pretty weird.

Yesterday, someone I've been working with for over a year just told me that he smoked, so I'm going to ask him if he knows anyone who is selling. Hopefully that leads somewhere.

ask him if he blazes or smokes weed then if he says yes ask if he has any conections or if he has some bud

pretty simple realy, its how i found out half my dads emploies smoke and now i buy from some of them from time to time
