I pack mine about halfway up the bowl (2-3 good hits and you need to refill) and pack it down with an unwrapped piece of gum.

instead of packing it in with my thumb, i take a piece of gum in the white wrapper and with one of the smaller ends I start packing bit by bit til I compress the bowl a good enough amount.

hahaha...tried that my first time, didnt work but i did pack a savagely fat bowl the other night and did have a flame on my bowl, no lighter the flame was the burning weed, god that was cool i want to do it again but i just cant seem to do it again

lol ^^^ never had a bowl catch fire but i have had a doobie catch on fire

I'm pretty sure the weed catching on fire is a bad thing, lol... it means its too dry. My current stash has been doing that alot, and i think that wastes alot. meh...

Oh I will be, buying a nice bowl from my friend for $20 here soon. Also when there's no more burnable material in a bowl left it's also called kicked. Or beat. Really depends on the regional lingo.

After a couple of hits certain parts of my bowl will stay lit so I just don't use the lighter again until those go out. It doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

Personally, I take one real good hit and then put it out with the butt of my lighter. I don't like it to burn while I'm not hitting it.
