Hey guys, first post!

Okay heres the situation:

About a year ago I bought a nice little metal pipe for about $15.(I have never bought rolling paper and have only smoked about 5 joints) However, my dad found the pipe and "confinscated" it, aka threw it away.

For like a month afterwards I just used other people pipes or w/e I could find. Then I got tired of that and bought a very nice glass bowl($60) a few weeks after that I got caught smoking early one morning on my back porch but my dad again. Yeah, I know im careless.

So its 2 weeks later and I have a situation, I could save up my money and try to buy another pipe, or I could start using zig-zags.

Can someone tell me some of their stories/opinions on rolling paper vs. pipes? I know rolling paper would be alot easier to hide than a bowl, so thats one of the advantages.

Though this topic has most likely been done before I will attempt to respond to the best of my ability in order to provide some insight.
Joints produce more smoke than bowls do, and technically bowls conserve more weed then.
But,
Joints defintiely use more weed than do bowls. Bowls in my exepreinces give a more body-high than cerebral high as do joints; It's all about what you deisre from the pot. It's all about prefrence, so no can really answer this question of yours... the answers you will get are basicaly going to be reflections of the poster's experiences, but not necessarily a proven fact.

Take what you can get, I suppose.

P.S. some methods are better for certain situations than others, i.e. bowls are better for smoking at your window, and joints are better for concerts or places you are positive you wont get caught(driving on a back country road).

Joints or pipes?
Personally i'd choose the bong. But if you dont have that choice, it seems for you that you need rolling papers cause you tend to be a little careless. It will save you money that you can put forward to weed. It's only a couple of bucks for 50 papers A.K.A. 50 JOINTS! Go with the joint, even though, personally, I prefer a Bowl.

Okay, here's my personal opinion:

Joints are fun as hell.. always nice to roll, and even nicer to puff down on. They are more of a social thing to me though.. usually a few people will throw down on a nice spliff. Little pinners are nice, but they can be a hassle when you just wanna get a little buzz by yourself.

Personally, I would save up for a little chillum. Get a good, thick one. It will last you forever, and it is easy to conceal. Plus you can make a g-bong out of it, and you can attach it to a coke bottle for a water bong, or just use it regularly. It is versatile, cheap and much smaller or a piece/liability to take care of.

If your dad takes your devices and doesn't really come down on you too hard about smokin', just let him know you spend your own money on that ****. If he keeps taking it, you will buy more.. so its pretty pointless. Sometimes that works well with understandable rents.

u should definitely go with joints. that is my personal opinion cuz carbing annoys me. and plus i just love to old skool it. so sit back and old skool it!! it will save u tons of money. i have a chillum and the only problem i have with it is that becuz it is so stealthy and small, it burns like hell to hit. i would recommend old skoolin it and lookin cool and savin u sum money!!

Way to read his post, guys. He's not asking about which is better, he's asking about what he should use in one particular situation.

Personally, if I were you, I'd stick to cheap pipes. You're obviously a kid, so you probably don't have much money. While it is cheaper to buy zig zags than a pipe, the extra weed joints burn quickly make pipes more cost effective. Since you seem to also have a habit of getting caught, you really should stick to cheap pipes.

I'd suggest getting a cheap metal/fimo pipe. They cost around $10, so it's no big deal if you lose it (to parents or otherwise). They don't heat up as much as normal metal pipes, either.

It matters, if your just sitting by yourself and smoking at home then a pipe would be good. Joints are more for going out. If you do start smoking joints then you can hotbox under your sheets wich is alwas fun.

Joints are good for out in public. In a relativley safe place you can chill with a joint and get rid of it quickly in the event a suspicious person comes nearby. You can also drive with a joint and most cars think its a cig...unless they see you passing it or smell it!

I perfer pipes for social situations. My sherlock has the "party bowl" thats so large the woman at the headshop thought it was a bit big...when I went back to buy my bong I had her screw on a larger bowl...heheh

Anyway, if your smoking at home and using a pipe it will let off much less smoke because you can cap off the bowl. I usually use a lid from a can of copenhagen i cap it off just as I finish clearing it, and NO SMOKE! Then I use a spoof to filter the smoke (toilet paper tube and dryer sheets)...

If your smoking joints, i'd sugest going for a walk somewhere...

get yourself one of them secret-pipes.....ya know the one's that look like torch but then can change into pipe's(sort of like transformers )

ive had many the best one was probably the torch one and the worse would have to be a pen-pipe it had like a 1mm bowl

Joints are the way to go. I don't care if it burns a little more than a pipe would, because you get more smoke, and it's just so relaxing that my highs seem much nicer.
Yeah, you get like a hundred papers for $2. And after you roll 10 joints or so it'll come so naturally. In a pinch, you can spend 5 minutes busting up a nug and rolling a fairly decent joint. It's very rewarding to smoke your own rolled joints too.

If you're not extremely concerned about stretching your weed then go for joints. Somewhere down the road you'll probably want to invest in a cheap ceramic pipe or something for smoking down those roaches. Another glass would be better, but if your dad took it away from you then you're out $20-$40, or whatever you pay.
