NEVER use aluminium foil as a screen or bowl. When it gets burnt it produces harmful chemicals which you will be inhaling and you will cause damage to yourself.

You can take a nug and break a piece off that is large enough to cover the hole at the bottom then put your ground up weed into the bowl (assuming it's ground because nugs are bigger than holes normally)

or

You can get a paper clip, straighten it out, and then twist it into a flat spiral (if that makes sense, I don't know the word for it) and then place it in your bowl. I'm pretty sure that doing that too often isn't good, but I hear it works well.
Edit: Paper clips use galvanized steel wire (the more expensive ones have better steel quality) so I think this could be your best bet, I'm pretty sure nothing is wrong with steel as a screen.


or

You can get earphones (such as iPod earbuds, which are perfect) and take the screen off of them and then place it over the hole in your bowl, so it acts as a screen

or

You can take a small pebble from outside, boil it, then put it over the hole in your bowl and put your weed on top, then when you dump your ashes out, just wait 10 seconds and dump them into your hand, retrieve the pebble and use it again next time.
