adding a carb to a wood pipe?

This is probably the worst idea iv had in a while, but basicly i got this little wooden pipe that looks something like the picture except its more rectangle with slanted mouth piece, i was high and thought why do i not have a carb? i thought about just drilling one but would that be a bad idea? my main concerns are, am i goin to burn myself on each hit? and idk what my other question was, but is this a good idea?

i have a carb in my pipe, but it's just really annoying and really no use
i never burn my fingers though

It's completely pointless and ill explain why. Pipes (excluding glass pipes) dont have a chamber for the smoke to build up in. Imagine smoking out of a bong, and as the smoke rises to the top you take out the stem and you get the whole hit. Thats basically the idea behind it. In a wooden pipe the smoke is going straight through it and its not being built up in a chamber. Dont try making a chamber in a wood pipe you'll most likely just break it lol. Get a glass pipe if you want a shotgun though.
