Default Super long pipes/bongs

I was wondering if this would work. If i took a lacrosse shaft (its from the sport, its a metal shaft about 5 feet long, its hollow, and an inch or two thick) and made a bowl on one side, would you need a lot of lung power to get high? Or would it work fine? Could the smoke make the metal of the shaft (ussually titanium and aluminum) dangerous? Thanks

yes the smoke may be dangerous, secondly it wont take a super lung to smoke it as lung as it has a carb.

Yes, it'd take a "super lung" or just lots of normal sizes breaths because you're needing to suck five feet of air to draw the smoke from the bowl to the mouthpiece.

Search the forum for "metals" to find out what is and isn't dangerous.

A super-long metal pipe would be a great way to distill all the cannabinoids out of the smoke before it reaches your mouth. Cannabinoids volatilize from the heat of the fire in the bowl. When they contact a cool surface they condense out of the smoke. The cooler the surface and the more surface area available, the more condensation will take place.

I've been smoking since '67 and the only really new methods that have merit that I've seen are vaporizers and bucket/gravity bongs. In 5,000 of smoking pot most of the great methods have already been worked out.

OTOH, maybe this condensing thing would have an application in extracting potent concentrates from weed. Instead of burning weed in a bowl you could vape it with carefully controlled temperature hot air. Run the vapor between chilled metal or glass plates. When the weed produces no more vapor at the set temperature, disassemble the plate unit and scrape off the concentrated condensate with single-edge razor blades. The result would be 100% pure cannabinoids (or close enough).
