| ...a few things on glass. i solely believe you get what you pay for, esp. when it comes to glass. for those of you who have never bought glass before, make a mental note to check on the following things before your purchase: 1. is the glass sturdy? by sturdy i mean, does it feel heavier than other glass pipes its same size? will it shatter if you barely tap it with wood, and/or similar type materials? 2. bowl size. make sure you are comfortable with the size of the bowl. ive seen people buy one-hitters and complain that they have to load the bowl to often. buy accordingly (whatever you prefer). 3. name brands vs. generic - on this one, it is a bit more left up to the individual, but i have always been pleased with 101 North glass and recently purchased a JBD piece. the name brand are usually more expensive, but ive never had a problem with any of them breaking, etc. 4. price - be sure to shop and compare with other local headshops, etc. to get the best quality for your money. 5. last but certainly not least, be sure its a pipe you like artistically because youll be the one using it! hope this helps. peace out.

| Go for glass, it's always better. Pretty much all I ever smoke out of.

| You can tell if the steel is galvanized becausse it will be shiny. Its bad because when you heat it up too much, it gives off zinc vapor or something that will fu** you up in a bad way. You want to go with thee ugly a*s black steel. You won't die from it. | |

| i've made numerous pieces from the pipe fittings i get from the sears near me. however, some are better than others. the brass ones that have barbs on one end that can be pushed into plastic tubing are the best, casue they can be slides, easily, and they don't give off fumes. don't use those shiny metal fittings, though, cause they are chromed, and though i got a couple that use them, its a bad idea to smoke them on the chance that the chromium gets vaporized. this generally don't happen casue the weed doesn't burn hot enough, but, still. ****. maybe when i'm finally 18 i can go to a non-shady head shop and buy a worthy piece. |
