have you ever wondered why people try to make simple things as lighting a pipe even more simple? What the problem with holding the pipe with one hand and lighting it with the other?

one of the main reasons the world population is getting fat is bacause things that used to burn calories now are done with minimal movents.

Change tv, instead of going to the tv we got remotes
Turning on the lights, clapping hands
Rolling the windows down in your car, just press a little button.
making food...fast food

dont be a lazy ass, and use a lighter for your own health

i knew that was coming
but imagine you burn 2 calories with every click, now if you click 10 times every time you smoke (20) and you smoke 200 times a year 20x200= 4000 calories a year, you know how many hours you need to jog to loose that much?

1 hour of joggin equals about 250-300 calories.

there's no way clickin a lighter burns 2 calories
unless you're my g/f, and you don't know how to use a lighter and you wear down the flint before lighting it once...

dont focus only on the clicking, think about having to move your arm to pick up the ligther, moving it up, clicking, inhale, holding, taking lighter down, exhale, theres gotta be 2 calories right there

I still dont think that's burning 2 calories. If you have ever ridden one of those electric exercise stationary bike things that have a calorie counter on it, you will find its a lot harder than you think to burn calories...

Back to the topic, I have never even seen self lighting pipes before and I don't think there is much sense in having one, unless its really windy outside.

Ok - my big chance to sound like a newbie - there's such a thing as a self-lighting pipe? Wild.

That would be a nice thing to have when smoking and walking on very windy days.

Yeah, a calorie in the popular sense of the word is enough energy to heat 1000ml of water by 1 degree C. There's no way you produce that much energy flipping a switch.
