i kno this has been posted already...but bear with me.
my bowl has tons of res on it..im gunnna smoke it soon then im gunna clean my bowl to make it look brand new again..anyone know how?!!?

different methods for every different type of bowl, but essentially bend a paper clip to get maximum scrapage (probably not a word. i don't give a ****) then if you want it to look new, get the unscrapable **** out, use cotton swabs

if its glass dont use metal to scrape it. ive had very bad expierience with it. metal chipping glass and all.

use a plastic tip dart. its perfect.

after you get all usable resin, soak in 91% (makesure its 91% this isn't common) regular alcohol will work but it takes longer, 91% cleans teh **** out of it. hold both holes (or all 3 if theres a carb) and shake vigorously..

like new. let dry so you dont smoke alcohol.

alcohol would whip ass. water is to lax. just lazy .. alcohol is all up in that **** tweakin..

we use alcohol and water mixture at work to clean off signs and banners, and if you get it on your cut it stings. water doesnt do that alone..

If you're not concerned with resin, another method I've found is use baking powder, eg. Rumford (not baking soda, eg. Arm & Hammer).

Boil some water.

While you're waiting,
pack the bowl with baking powder and try and fill the entire insides of the pipe with it.

Find a ceramic container (don't use plastic... I found that the boiling water well weaken the plastic so much that resin gets embedded into it. I had to toss out a tupperware container cause the bottom got filled with resin).

Once the water boils, either drop the bowl into it and start shaking it around or get out something ceramic (I used a coffee mug, but I have a tiny spoon that I was cleaning) and drop the bowl in and start moving it around.

The baking soda will fizzle and the resin will come off instantly. If it doesn't all come off, then use a cotton swab or something to get the rest off. Caution: this will cause the area you're doing this to smell a bit like resin. Rinse the bowl out nicely with water and let it dry. Should be good as new.

After scrapping out the pipe w/ a q-tip or paperclip, put about a cup to 2 cups (more if you have a bigger piece) and one to two teaspoons of salt into a pastic bag, put the piece in the pastic bag w/ the solution and then shake the bag... everything in the pipe should become soft and use some pipe cleaners to clean out whatever is left in the pipe... its pretty easy and will leave your peace as close to as good as new, depending on how hard your piece is to clean.

if you know its been posted before, why not use the SEARCH FUNCTION and find it, rather than starting a thread that has been repoeated so many times? Its one thing to make a repeat post of of sheer ignornace, but you're doing it out of LAZINESS. The info is there....LOOK FOR IT.
