Im a big fan of not getting ash in my mouth, so I almost always use a glass screen/star in my glass pieces. I can get them for a dollar a piece, and plus when i finally do lose it, it gives me an excuse to get blazed and goto a headshop and check out all of their cool stuff . Also, you really only have to worry about losing a star the first few times, after that there is enough resin to hold it in pretty good.

And like Kissthesky said, its kinda stupid to use a metal screen in a glass pipe. Kinda defeats the purpose.

I don't use screens in my glass, but used to with my metal pipe. My spoon works pretty well, but yeah, occasionally someone gets a mouthful of ash. Of course, thats usually me, because i scavenge every lst hit I can, even when people warn me its cashed! I'd actually consider using a glass screen, but I don't want to order them, and there are absolutely no headshops left in SD. Trust me on this one....there used to be a half dozen or so around the state, but they either got shut down, or at least had all their pipe-related merchandise "seized" for being "drug paraphenilia". Wish i knew where the state was keeping all their stolen bongs, pipes, etc!! Whats fiunny is none pof the shops got charged with anything, just basically had their inventory ripped off.....guess its ok to steal when you're the govt!

A glass screen is just as hard as a pebble. You're still using the same force to
pack a bowl whether or not there's a pebble in the bowl.

A pebble is just like a glass screen only it's not as pretty and it's free.

I don't use a screen I just make sure to keep it packed down so I don't suck anty through.

I agree that he wouldn't break it, but screens bend and pebbles do not, so he could end up cracking it if he pushed with all his might, whereas a screen woudl just concave itself and try to squeeze through, but eventually crack it as well.

Glass screens don't bend. I'm just saying that a pebble is rock, and rock is harder than glass, i just wouldn't take the risk of breaking it or scratching it or cracking it or anything.
