Sorry i feel like such a newbie...but what exactly is a chillum? I saw a stone one at an online head shop for three and a half bucks so i'm gonna get it but i just want to know like how it is used...show enlarged/detailed pictures if possible..thanks guys

It's basically a one-hit pipe. Some people call them "one-hitters" or "batties" or "dugouts". They're just a stone tube with a screen in one end. You pack one hit, toast it, then do another. Pretty simple really, I like them a lot for my room since I only pack one hit each time. Go for it, you'll love it as long as you don't mind holding it a little tilted so no weed spills out.

My glass chillum bowl can hold a good 3 or 4 hits in it

One downside to chillums (or my past and present chillums atleast) is you have to use a screen. But if you don't mind tasting a little metal and you want to toke up in a concert or somewhere else where you wanna keep it stealthy, the chillum is perfect for you.

This is off-topic but I was watching cops last night and they pulled this guy over who had a little pipe that looked exactly like a cig. Im guessing u just pack a hit at the end and light it up. Anybody know where i can find one?

My head shop has those cigarrette one hitters they arnt really useful unlessw you smoke but theyre awkard because they onlt hold a hit or 2 and loading them is a huge pain.

chillums are straight pipes best used for making homeade bongs just melt a hole in the side of a plastic water bottle and stick it in theyre while its still hot and instant airtight bong.

post a pic of the stone one though i would recomend you spend $15 on a glass one they change colors so fast they are tight.

Yes, there is a diffrence between a chillum and a one-hitter. A one hitter is just that...it holds enough for one hit. A chillum is just another version of a pipe without a carb. Chillums can be quite large and hold a fairly good sized bowl. Mine does :P

I liked mine because it fit really well in the neck of a 2 liter and with a little electrical tape wraped around the middle--it became a good gravity bong bowl. It was also nice when the bowl got cherried because we could pass and smoke it like a joint/blunt.

the main reason i wanna get this is because i can just burn a hole in the side of a two liter and stick it in there. I considered buying a water pipe but decided (being a bit frugal) to go with just the chillum. so that if i ever get tired of hitting a bong (which prolly won't ever happen) i can just pass it. I'm going to post a picture of it now...it's pretty small in the pic and a little hard to see...not very detailed pics but check it out anyawy...thanks guys peace

2 liters are kind of over kill a good 16.9 oz aquafina bottle if way better betause they are firm and narrow you really dont need that much filteration and its hell to pull the smoke through all that water.

Chillums are the smoking devices of choice for the US Amry and Marines, these super secretive smoking devices are easily stored and stashed and offer many advantages over a 2-4 foot bong.



I had a chillum, stone, but I didn't enjoy the smoke the stone gave, smelled like burning clay/wood... ... Well, something along those lines..
