| OK, what's the difference between a tobacco pipe and a pipe you'd get at a headshop, besides the materials it would possibly be made out of (i don't think many actual tobacco smokers smoke it out of a swirly-colored glass pipe). I for one really dig the subtle, sophisticated look of a simple wood pipe and was thinking of just going down to a local tobacco store and getting one. Is there anything different between them that I should know about? Are the bowl sizes way different, or do tobacco pipes not work so well for the ganja? brownie

| Tobacco pipes do not work so well for the ganja. They tend to have obscenely deep bowls which will make it difficult to light. The taste of the wood is very noticeable when compared to the taste from a glass pipe. My experiences with tobacco pipes were not enjoyable. It may seem less cool, but try a clay pipe which has been designed for weed but looks wooden instead. |

| From my knowledge id rather go directly to a headshop. A wooden pipe does have a after taste to me, not very enjoyable, plus it can get hot. Id say for a pipe get a glass pipe from a local shop. There cool and inexpensive and dont heat up like wood pipes. Plus tobacco pipes have big bowls, could be a pain in the ass using a lighter. Stick with headshops, only the best for the canibus. | go to a local headshop and you'll find 'grandpa' pipes that are wooden and old fashioned yet made for weed at the same time, so you'll have a decent sized bowl as well |

| JustSmokeIt doesn't like wood pipes. Lol. My first pipe was a wooden one... and it was a pain to light. On homecoming night... I was hitting it and I kept lighting my fake nails on fire because the bowl was so deep. So one night I got real frustrated and sawed half of the bowl off lol. Then I got glass and all was good. The only thing my wooden pipe had goin' for it was it's name. Ganja Phillipe (Pronounced John-Guy Phil-Eep-A)

| i got my glass piece half price for 35 bucks. they had it originally priced at 70, but it's triple blown and really sturdy for bein such a small pipe. and yeah, the guy dropped it on the floor in front of me to show how sturdy it was when i bought it. |

Anyway, I just got a sick new glass pipe for 30. The guy hit it against the counter to show how sturdy it was. Seems that this is a trend in headshops. | |
