Ok, after much frustration and blocked attempts at obtaining a new pipe, I've finally decided just to buy a used one. I have one on order, the guy should have it to me soon.

Anyways, my question is how to get the pipe sparkling clean. I want it to be so clean no one would ever know it had been used once. Maybe I have a smaller version of OCD, But I want whatever pipe I own to be my pipe. I want all of the tar build up to come from my sessions, I don't want to have some else's crusty old tar in my pipe.

Oh yea, by the way, it's a glass pipe, and the guy's selling it for two reasons: First that he just got a sweet bong, and that he chipped it slightly. I've seen the pipe, the chip is insignificant.

k. heres what you do. dont bother with anything else. Rubbing alcahol and rice. and shake it around. fill it with rubbing alcahol and rice and cover the holes then shake. do it 3 times, wash with hot water and its new.

lol man ive never seen so many threads about someone fail to get a pipe, you must have been trying for at least 3 months......gd man if you can't obtain a pipe you shouldn't be smoking lol......anyways just fill a pot w/ water place your pipe inthe water, then turn on the stove, next put the pot on the burner until the water boils...there are plenty of other threads giving detailed advice on this try using the search feature....
you can always buy some formula 420 but i doubt you'd be able to ever get your hands on some..

raw rice, real hard but not too big. smaller the better. DONT USE SALT, salt will sediment ur pipe. so many dumb people use salt, u need sea salt if u wanna use salt but rice is better than all of them.

and i find it funny too how people cant get a pipe. theres like 10+ headshops within 20 minutes from my home, i can get like hookas bongs, anything. absolute best weed products roors etc are within driving distance lol

Dude, I have been trying for three months! It's ****ing Annoying man. I've tried many people who said they could get me a pipe, none of them got me ****. According to one of them, his room was raided three times and my pipe was confiscated by his mom. Yea right. ****, twice I've tried to take manners into my own hands, but both attempts turned up absolutely zero, just a whole lotta requests for id. I hate this ****, I hate being a ****ing minor. And I myself can not believe I can't find a ****ing pipe. I mean, i live in god damn San Diego, man!

But, to make a long story short, as I've said before, It doesn't look like I'm going to be getting a pipe anytime soon, unless its used, or someone on here helps me get one... which I doubt will happen.

Trust me, I really can't believe that I am having THIs much trouble getting a pipe, weed is in high supplies but smoking utensils are nowhere to be found...

Edit: The main part of the problem is I live in a suburb(god damn I hate suburbs) and there is absolutely NO way to get anywhere except in a car around here. There are no sidewalks. The ones that do exist start in the middle of nowhere and end in the middle of nowhere.

IF your using a glass and do this your colors will fade and not look the same when you smoke up again, something with it being able to break easier and losing its colour in the long run

Man if your a minor and you can't get a pipe there is only one thing to do- you have to ask someone at the pipe shop to buy it for you. I'm pretty sure if someone shows ID and leaves the store with the pipe the owner won't care. If you've tried everything then this should be a walk in the park: just wait in the store until some cool kids come in, and ask them to buy you this really quick because you left your ID at home. If you look really young then ask them outside before they go in. Most stoners would love to help you out. I know I would if I could!!!!!

Correct.....I've bought glass pieces before that specifically warn against boiling them. The solution recommended by most manufacturers is the alcohol/rice or alcohol'salt solution. I ghave used salt many times, and my pipes look brandnew. If it damaged the pipe, why would the company suggest cleaning it this way? Any salt deposits can easily be rinsed away by flushing the pipe with hot water. Some people may disagree, but I have yet to suffer any problems using salt to help clan my pipe. Most of the time it isn't even necessary though.....Most of the time, i can make my pipe look brand new just soaking the pipe overnight in rubbing alcohol. I use a ziplock bag, and just submerge the pipe in the alcohol.

I find that i dont need rubbing alcohol and rice, i just soak it in a big glass of hotwater, and alotta soap, let it sit for a long time. and then just use a pipecleaner (those fuzzy, bendy things you made crafts of in grade 1) and stuff it in as far as it goes, and pull it out.,and repeat with the pipe cleaner as many times as needed. Also, DO NOT put it in boiling water.
